If there was rehab for a broken heart I would have a Silver membership

Just an Essay - A letter I wrote to a friend well more like an essay..take it as you will...

If there was rehab for a broken heart I would have a Silver membership, but in truth dealing with a broken heart comes from the truth of strength.  Mending is the hardest thing to do, and it never gets easier because you put all your being into someone that you hope will be one you are with. And it turns out not to be true.  But we strive on, that is the part that is always the hardest.  Because the anger, the disappointment and just the pain that comes with ending the relationship, you can’t let it overwhelm you and become what you are about.  You are better than that, and you know it.  Drowning yourself in alcohol and taking diet pills in not only unhealthy and dangerous but it is not the way.  It should out be your way.
You have to believe that you are more than looks and sex.  Your friend who told you that you were being slutty in his own way is trying to get you to see the truth. You know who your friends are and who will tell you the truth about situations and about life.  You can have tons of admirers who will comment about your looks and wanting to get in your pants.  Do you think that can make you happy? The temporary satisfaction you get dulls in comparison to what you and life can truly offer you. Good friends will tell you in scathing bluntness what they see as destructive and show their concern.  You made a promise that you will not disappoint and I hold you to that.  In you there is great potential to be great but there is also potential just to be good.  Good in your life and good with yourself.
You have endured and that is a testament to you, but if you continue to dread a thought about your ex then you will fall into the abyss.  Yes, it takes time to heal from something that is painful and was so hard.  But reliving it over and over and thinking about it will not help you heal.  You have to look at yourself and say that you want more, you want better.
In my experience from pain comes the true test of you character and that is the better yourself and prepare for whatever comes your way.  Whomever you allow to enter you life and in doing something new, in words basically: REINVENTION of You!

So no more of the past and kick yourself out of neutral and get in drive.  Drive to that dream that you want, drive to what in life will make you happy. Drive that you are your own self-confidence.  Rest, revive and get back into the fight.  This is your Life and it is for you to LIVE it!
